Fairfax Lounge
Antique oars and model boats are just a few of the elements that
lend a nautical feel to this storied destination, where hotel
guests and Embassy Row and Dupont Circle residents are invited to
eat, drink, and unwind. Soak in the sounds of the lounge’s
original Steinway piano—a gift from the Kennedy
family—as you enjoy our drink specials, regular wine
tastings, and an appealing menu of local favorites including the
smoked turkey and tomato club, as well as the chicken hash
“2100” with Parmesan gratinee. Select items from The
Jockey Club menu are also available, such as the Jockey Club
Burger.

The Jockey Club
Seating approximately 85 people, the very walls of The Jockey
Club seem to buzz with history. Celebrated designer Nina Campbell
incorporated a number of throwbacks to the restaurant’s
heyday, including the original bar—rumored to have decorated
a church at one time. Art Nouveau lighting fixtures cast a rich
glow over small, separate dining areas that offer privacy
“with a view.” Of course, signature red and white
tablecloths and red leather banquettes are the setting for more
than intriguing conversation.
