The Segway is the first of its kind, a self-balancing, personal transportation device that's designed to operate in any pedestrian environment. It's new, it's cool and a ton of fun!

Our 3 hour tours are limited in size so you can count on a great, intimate experience. Discover what it's like to be a DC celebrity as everyone, and we mean everyone, turns to watch us glide by! City Segway Tours is proud to be the first guided tour using Segways in the world! No one can match our experience and thousands of satisfied customers from around the world in all our cities. Be sure you glide with the original.

Highlights of the tour include:

  • The White House – possibly the most photographed building in the world and the greatest symbol of power. Every president except George Washington has lived in this Executive Mansion. Find out which President had two bear cubs as pets.

  • The Capitol Building – the government moved to “Jenkins’ Hill“ in 1800 and the building has been in constant development since. The only public building in the city where they don’t know the exact cornerstone.

  • Smithsonian Castle Building – established by British scientist, James Smithson, who sent his fortune in 100 bags of gold for “the increase and diffusion of knowledge”. Serving as the first endowment of the Smithsonian Institution which has grown to 15 buildings and complexes.

  • Smithsonian Air & Space Museum – in only three decades this the most visited museum in the world. Learn why the Smithsonian Institute had to build another museum 40 miles away. The museum on the Mall houses the largest collection of historic air and spacecraft in the world!

  • National Galleries of Art – find out which museum was the site of our country’s first presidential assassination. Pieces from the world’s finest artisans over the last 3 centuries.

  • Smithsonian Natural History – the second most visited museum in the world. Hear the mystique behind the Hope Diamond and so much more.

  • Smithsonian American History Museum – How could they call a museum “America’s Attic”? This museum collects anything possible, but got its start with the original flag for the United States and the story behind it.

  • The Washington Monument – the pinnacle structure dedicated to the founder of our country, George Washington. The centerpiece of the National Mall.

  • Also see the Ford's Theater, US Navy Memorial, National Archives Building and more!
